Joe Coady Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved father Joe Coady (born in Spanish Room, NL) at home in his 92nd year.
Predeceased by his wife of 60 years Helen (nee Finn) in February 2022 and many relatives in the Coady and Finn families.
Left broken hearted are his three daughters Peggy Ann, Sharon (Anita) and Michelle, his two dear sisters Marion (Spanish Room) and Loretta (Del Rio, Texas), special sister-in-law Betty (Mount Pearl) and other family and friends.
We acknowledge those who helped us keep Dad at home – in the house he helped build. Many thanks to our exceptional family physician, Dr. Amanda Coleman, devoted caregivers Dorothy Squires, Carolann Greene & Rhonda Snow, visiting nurse Deborah Wakeham, social worker Janet Fitzpatrick, Community Health nurses, Home Dementia Program, Community Paramedics Program, Lawton’s Wedgewood Park and Airport Heights neighbours. We also recognize Dr. Wayne Gulliver and Dr. Wayne Redmond for the exceptional care Dad received for decades.
The funeral mass for Joe and Helen Coady will be held this spring. Donations in Dad’s memory can be made to Beagle Paws (www.beaglepaws.com) in honour of his love for Bailey and Henry.
While we are devastated, we are thankful Dad stayed with us for 2 years after Mom and are forever grateful to have had such wonderful parents.
Forever loved, never forgotten.
