Christine Angela Cody (Chrissy), tragically taken from us way before her time in September 30th, 2023, at 56 years old. An amazing Mother, A Loving Daughter, Sister, Aunt, and a Beautiful Friend and an Incredible Light to so many, that there isn’t a room large enough to hold them.
She is predeceased by her father, Francis Cody; brother Jamie Cody; nephew Bobby Pitcher; her daughter’s paternal grandparents Minnie Butler and Gordon Butler; and her best friends Joey Taylor, Kevin Simmons, Trevor Kirby, and Kevin Simmons.
So many devastated by her loss; leaving to mourn her precious daughter, Angela Butler; mother, Margaret Cody; sisters, Carolyn Pitcher and Eileen Joyce; brother Greg Cody; nieces and nephews, her daughter’s Father, Isaac Butler and his family; her pool league teammates; her colleagues; and her countless dedicated friends, Jordan Taylor, Melissa Slaney, Melissa Nolan, Ann Fitzgerald, Tina Simmons, Mike Whalen, Lori O’Reilly, Jordan Walsh, and many more friends and relatives. There are too many friends to list on paper, but they all remain special to Christine. and countless dedicated friends. Visitation to be at Barrett’s funeral home, 73 Commonwealth Ave., Mount Pearl, on Saturday, October 7th, from 1 PM- 4 PM, and from 6 PM- 9 PM. Memorial service will be at Barrett’s Chapel on Sunday, October 8 at 2 PM. Cremation to follow.
Christine was the best mother that a daughter could ever ask for. Angela was her pride and joy. She cared so deeply and wanted to give her the world. If you were lucky enough to be called a friend, she was there for you through thick and thin. She was deeply loyal. She was kind, generous, and had a sense of humour that kept you laughing until it hurt. Her many passions included people, dancing, travelling, having fun, playing pool, cooking, collecting, reading, and writing and being with her family and friends. She loved being around people. Christine’s contagious smile, her heart of gold, her genuine kindness, and her radiant being will be forever missed and never forgotten.
May Christine’s soul be at peace. May Christine Angela Cody’s spirit live on through her daughter Angela, and live on through all the people’s lives she touched. She will be deeply and forever loved, missed, cherished, and never forgotten.
