It is with great sadness that the family of the late Nellie Collier announce her passing while surrounded by her loving family at the Long Term Care Facility, Waterfall Way (Central Health), Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at the age of 93. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Melita Collier, St. Alban’s, NL, Michael Collier (Kim), St. Alban’s, NL, David Collier (Margaret), Head of Bay d’Espoir, NL, Kevin Collier (Judy), St. John’s, NL, Kenneth Collier, St. Alban’s, NL, Gilbert Collier (Roberta), St. Alban’s, NL, Margaret Organ (Tom), Timberlea, NS, Germaine Watkins (Vernon), Milltown, NL, Louise Buffett (Ray), St. Alban’s, NL & Helen Doucette (Derek), St. John’s, NL; grandchildren: Michelle, Brennan, Sondra, Ryan, Jovonah, Benjamin, Alisha, Jesse, Aaron, Caisie, Megan, Rebecca & Sarah; great-grandchildren: Thomas, Avery, Ryder, Lex, Bo, Scarlett, Brooklyn, Grayson & Daniel, as well as a large circle of other nephews, nieces relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband: Sandy Collier; sisters: Gertrude Farrell, Edith Collier & Mary Collier (Twin sister); brothers: Bill McDonald, Sandy McDonald & Albert McDonald. Funeral service on Tuesday August 20, 2024 at 11am at St. Ignatius R. C. Church, St. Alban’s, with Father Tom Duffenais officiating. Interment at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Alban’s on Thursday at 11am. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Hynes’ Coast of Bays Funeral Home, St. Alban’s.
