It is with saddened hearts that the family of the late Hayward Charles James Strickland of Pilley’s Island, NL, age 70, announces his passing at Green Bay Health Centre on April 8, 2024.
Hayward leaves to remember with fond and loving memories; his wife of 47 years, Joy; son, Corey (Nikki) Strickland; daughter, Connie Strickland (Deon Barrow); grandchildren, Clay Strickland (Rayleen Hood), & Ethan Strickland; brothers, Bruce (Doretta) Strickland, Dave (Yvonne) Strickland, Boyce (Della) Strickland, John (Erica) Strickland, & Hank (Marcella) Strickland; sisters, Thelma (Gerald) Burton, Roseanne (Roy) Weir, Bonnie (Tom) Roberts, Shirley (Rocky) Moores, Sherrie (David) Cassell, & Paula (Dean) Fudge.
Hayward is predeceased by his parents, William & Ethel Strickland; two infant siblings; parents-in-law, Willis & Annie Lush
The public visitation will take place Thursday, April 11, 2024 at 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm from The Salvation Army Triton Brighton Community Church Triton, NL.
The funeral service will take place Friday, April, 12, 2024 at 1 pm from The Salvation Army Triton-Brighton Community Church, Triton, NL, with Majors Garry and Sandra Ward officiating.
The Interment will follow at The Salvation Army Cemetery, Pilley’s Island, NL.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale, NL.
