Robert F. “Rob” Yacubic Jr. age 55 of Horseheads, NY passed away on Saturday October 5, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer. Rob was born August 21,1969 in Elmira, NY the son of Robert F. and Jacquelyne Reynolds Yacubic. He was a graduate of Horseheads High School Class of 1987. Rob attended Corning Community College. He was a Union Carpenter and member of Carpenters Union Local # 277 of Horseheads, NY. He loved the outdoors and hunting and was a member of The Big Buck Club holding the record for the largest buck in New York State in the year 2000. Rob loved his family and friends and treasured the time he spent with them. Rob was a loving grandfather and enjoyed his trips to visit with his three grandchildren. Rob is survived by his father and mother Robert F. “Bob” Yacubic Sr. and Jacquelyne Reynolds Yacubic of Horseheads, NY ; daughter and son-in-law: Stephanie and Tyler Farley and grandchildren Daniel, Peyton , and Meredith all of Fort Knox, TN; brother and sister-in-law: Steven and Linda Yacubic of Horseheads, NY ; sister and brother-in-law: Kirstin and Seth and special nieces and nephew Paige, Jaicee, and Daimein ; aunts and uncles : Mike and Linda Yacubic of Sealy, TX , Peg Yacubic and Kathy McEachon of Tully , NY , James and Mary Reynolds of Archdale, NC , Merilee Rockwell of Horseheads, NY , Scott Reynolds of Elmira, NY , and Michelle and Resa Reynolds of Freeville, NY ; several cousins, bonus son Kevin Boulas, bitty buddy Kayden and a host of caring friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS,NY on Tuesday October 8, 2024 from 4 to 7 PM. Rob’s Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday October 9, 2024 with Rev Alex Raducz officiating. Rob will be laid to rest in Maple Grove Cemetery in Horseheads, NY.
