Passed away surrounded by family on June 29, Herb Saunders of St. Lunaire, at the age of 82 Predeceased by his parents, Olive and Fred Saunders, sister Gladys, and Grandchildren David and Adrienne. He leaves to mourn his wife of 57 years, Evangeline, his daughters Lynn (Mike) and Janice, his son Boyd (Jennifer), 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Also, his 4 brothers, 5 sisters and a vast circle of friends and family He was a fisherman for the majority of his life and loved working with his hands. He loved to pass on his knowledge and skills to his kids, grandkids, and anyone who wanted to learn. He enjoyed everything “outdoors”, fishing, hunting, cutting wood and cutting moose and his favorite pastime was berrypicking. He had an impact on many lives, everyone he’s met, and will be forever missed and loved.
Visitation is being held at the Pentecostal Church in St. Lunaire – Griquet on Monday July 1st from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm, with the funeral service being held at 2pm on July 2nd, 2024 with pastors Geoff and Charity butler officiating. burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
