Geraldine (Dene) Philpott, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend was called home by our Heavenly Father after brief illness at the Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville on December 25th, 2023.
Predeceased by her mother Mary, father Fred, mother-in-law Mary, father-in-law Richard, brothers Cyril and Dennis, sisters Patsy and Debbie.
Left with loving memories are her husband Blair and doggy, daughter Sage, Krystal and son-in-law Sam, daughter Lori and son-in-law Trent. Her four grandsons Ryan, Tyler, Ethan and Nathaniel. Her brother Ed and sister-in-law Mary, brother Ron and sister-in-law Moe, brother Freddie and sister-in-law Cavell. Sister Peggy and brother-in-law Stewart, sister Rose and brother-in-law Hedley, sister Linda and sister Diane. Brother-in-laws Ambrose and Mike as well as family members Thomas and Catherine Philpott, all of her beloved nieces and nephews as well as her many cousins and all of the dear friends she met along the way.
Dene was a bright light on this earth. Her generosity of spirit touched everyone she met and her strength and courage will continue to inspire all who knew her. She was well loved and will be deeply missed. Let us all remember her joy, laughter and presence with every memory as we carry her forward with us in all the days to come.
Our family would like to thank the teams in ICU, palliative care and the in-patient units of Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital for the compassionate support and care provided to our family during this difficult time.
We would also like to thank her health care team at the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Center, St. John’s.
In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be sent your local cancer care clinic or the Canadian Cancer Society. Thank you from all of us.
