It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Frank Pike announce his passing on Monday, November 13th, with his loving family by his side at Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques at the age of 70. Born in Corner Brook, Frank was the son of Hilda Pike and the late George Pike.
Frank leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his loving wife of 46 years Shirley (nee MacIsaac), sister, Joan (Tony) Chaisson, brothers and sisters in law, Nora (Bill) Burton, Maud (Dave) Burt, Ruth (Lionel) Forsey, Wilfred (Beverly) MacIsaac, nieces and nephews, Andrew Chaisson, Scott (Carla) MacIsaac, Stephen (Holly) Burton, Paul (Cindy) Burton, Irene (Jed) Mosher, Peter Burt, Heather (Gregory) Novak and Scott (Karyla) MacIsaac, plus a large circle of extended family and friends.
Frank was predeceased by his grandparents, Honorable Frank and May Pike, William and Emily Stone, mother and father-in-law, Archie D and Mary Ona MacIsaac, his sister-in-law, Irene MacIsaac.
In keeping with Frank’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place on Thursday, November 16th from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 from Oceanside Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 17th at 11:00 A.M from Wesley United Church in Port aux Basques, with Rev. Patricia Ritchie and Joan Chaisson officiating, with interment to follow at Precious Blood Cemetery, St. Andrews. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Frank may be graciously made to the Alzheimer Society.
