It is with great sadness the Pardy family announces the loss of their loving wife, beloved mother and grandmother, the late Lorraine Mary Pardy of Terrenceville, NL. Lorraine passed away at the St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital in St. John’s, NL on January 28, 2024 at the age of 68.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her husband of 51 years, Patrick M. Pardy; children, Sabrina Coombs of Terrenceville, Patrick J. Pardy (April Myles) of Terrenceville, Victoria Rideout (Rick) of Terrenceville; her grandchildren, Elisha, Patrick, Quinton, DJ, Mary Ann, Richard, Rosie, Gracie, Cadence; sisters, Susie Pomeroy (Austin) of Placentia, Lillian Labour of St. Bernard’s, Alice Stewart of Bay L’Argent, Veronica Browne of Placentia; brothers, Gerald Whittle of St. Bernard’s and William Whittle (Darlene) of St. Bernard’s; sisters-in-law, Melita Whittle of St. Bernard’s, Bonnie Whittle, Barbara Byrde (Charles) of English Harbour East, Loretta Byrde (Fred) of English Harbour East, Marie Hyde of Terrenceville, Elizabeth Crocker (Rex) of Arnold’s Cove; brothers-in-law, John Pardy of Terrenceville, Kevin Pardy of Terrenceville; plus a large circle of extended family and friends.
Lorraine was predeceased by her parents Cecil & Molly Whittle; parents-in-law, Michael & Sarah Pardy; sister Romaine McCarthy; brothers, Nicholas Whittle and Cecil Whittle Jr; brothers-in-law, Peter Labour, William Stewart, Leo Browne, James Pardy, Michael Pardy, Roger Hyde; sisters-in-law, Josephine Pardy, Mary McGrath, Mary Pardy.
A heartful thank you from the Pardy family is extended to the Doctors, Nurses and staff at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital for their compassion and care they bestowed upon our wife and mother.
The Pardy Family would like to invite family and close friends to join them at The Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in St. Bernard’s for a Vigil celebrating Lorraine on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 12 noon followed by a funeral service at 2:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, in Lorraine’s memory, donations may be made to The Pardy Family.
