It is with great sadness that the family of the late Dustin Hannam of Marystown, NL announces his sudden passing on March 25, 2024 at the age of 36. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his mother, Clara Hannam of Marystown; grandfather, Roche Hannam of Marystown; daughter, Kayley Cheeseman of Marystown; sisters, Robyn Hannam (Chelsey Power) of St. John’s, Shannelle Kilfoy and Lydia Hannam-Moulton both of Marystown; aunts, Amanda Lundrigan (Dave), Trudy Chislett, Ruby Hannam (Verno Whittle); uncle Allan Hannam; close family friend, Charlotte Cheeseman and her son Kaius; cousins, Wendy Chislett, Allan Chislett, Amy Thomson, Grayson Hannam, Adaline Lundrigan and Asher Lundrigan; long lifetime friends, Gary Osmond, Drew Hennebury and Will Hayes; plus a large circle of extended family and friends.
Dustin was predeceased by his grandmother, Patsy Hannam; uncle, Jackie Hannam; great- grandparents, Clara & Peter Hannam and Annis & Allan Tanner.
Dustin had a gentle, reserved and quiet spirit, always thinking and taking things in. He was often caught deep in thought and when he did speak it was meaningful. He had a great willingness to give and so perceptive of other people’s needs. He wouldn’t think twice about reaching out to give a helping hand. Dustin adored his family and his grandparents particularly! He was the center of his grandparents’ lives and they cherished him as if he were a son of their own. His daughter Kayley was his world and he took such pride in her. He beamed even talking about her and always wanted the best for her. The family gatherings, and visits to Wild Beach with the family made the world just right for Dustin and those times shared will hold many treasured memories for his family. He cherished his lifelong friends and valued his friendships. He was a natural with his hands, with passion and ability he would take on tasks and suddenly he was an expert, often taking things apart, fixing things and putting it all back to working order. A scaffolder by trade, carpenter or mechanic, he was a handy-man that could fix anything! And then there was his great love for music, either finding comfort while listening and solace when he played his guitar. He always had music playing. Dustin touched the lives of everyone he met and left an impact, he was truly a kind and beautiful soul.
The Hannam Family will be accepting visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Home in Marystown, NL on:

6:00pm to 9:00pm
A funeral service to celebrate Dustin’s life will take place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church on:
Saturday, March 30, 2024 at 11:00am
Cremation to follow and burial at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery in Marystown on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 10:30am.
In Dustin’s memory donations may be made to The Hannam Family or flowers gratefully accepted.
