Sadie Grace Sheppard passed away at James Paton Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving husband Manson and family, age 79 years.
She is predeceased by parents, Thophilus and Ettie Bixby (Coish); brothers, Don and Raymond; sisters, Grace and Ivy Brown (Bixby); parents-in-law, Wesley and Edith Sheppard.
Left with fond memories are her husband of 36 years, Manson Sheppard; children, Marie (Donnie), Sherman (Judy), Marion; step-children, Dean, Dianne (Paul), Michael (Cheryl), Della (Tony); sister, Bride Sheppard and a large circle of brother and sister-in-laws.
Sadie’s pride and joy were her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She cherished them dearly and always had the biggest smiles for them. She also leaves a large circle of family and friends.
Sadie loved life to the fullest. She loved for the outdoors and loved camping in her beloved motor home, catching the biggest fish like trout and char, fishing on the Exploits, and those wonderful boil ups in the winter. She loved all the seasons and the enjoyment that came with them. At gathering her laughter was contagious.
The family would like to thank the nurses and Doctors at James Paton Memorial Hospital on the Medical Ward for your wonderful care of Sadie.
A visitation for just family and friends will take place from Gordon Woolfrey Home, 262 Main Street, Lewisporte, NL on Sunday September 8, 2024 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM.
As expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations to Daffodil House or A Children Charity would be gratefully accepted.
