Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Roy Hicks, aged 63 years, at James Paton Memorial Hospital, on August 3, 2024.
Roy was a quiet, gentle soul who devoted his life to family, fishing, hunting and farming.
He was predeceased by his parents, Elmo and Ida Hicks; parents-in-law, Theophilos and Marie Wells; siblings, baby brother Gerald, sister Olga Mills, brother Jim Hicks; brothers-in-law, Stephen, Rodney and Edgar Chatman.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories is his wife of 33 years, Edna; sons, Leroy (Amber) and Leon; granddaughter, Paisley and soon to be grandson; sisters, Faye (Eric), Flossie (Don), Roxina (Richard), Ada (Byron); brothers, Sandy (Florence), Aubrey (Patsy), Montie (Elaine), Randy; sisters-in-law, Darlene (Wilson), Mary (Bill), Marilyn (Bradley), Dianne; brothers -in-law, Robert (Elsa), Reuben (Sue), Wallace (Julie), Edward (Patricia) and Dave; uncle, Melvin Ginn and a large circle of nephews, nieces, family and friends.
Public visitation and funeral service to be announced..
As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Roys Grandchildren’s Education Fund will be greatly accepted.
