Albert’s Obituary
Passed away after a short battle with cancer on Friday, December 1, 2023 at the Central NL Regional Health Care Center, Grand Falls-Windsor, Mr. Albert Leonard Mills, aged 85 years.
Albert was born to Pleman and Nina on December 16th, 1937 in Loon Bay where he spent all his life. He married Lucy on November 21, 1958 and they had 2 children. Albert worked in Nova Scotia in construction then with Bowaters for a number of years and with Simon Lewis until retirement in 2001. He was part of the Loon Bay Local Service District for 30 years and volunteered with anything involving the community. He was always there to lend a helping hand and he loved card games.
He was predeceased by his wife, Lucy; parents, Pleman and Nina Mills; parents-in-law, Samuel and Winnie Perry; sister and brother-in-laws.
Left to mourn his passing with fond and loving memories are his children, Audrey (Dennis Froude) and Paul (Diane); grandchildren, Steven (April), Sabrina (Blair), Stacey (Tyron), Andrew (Lisa), Amanda; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Ryan, Maria, Garet, Isabelle, Holly, Carson, Lucas, Brooklyn; special friend, Betty Swyers as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends.

The public visitation will take place from Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, 262 Main Street, Lewisporte, NL on Sunday, December 3, 2023 from 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM.
The Funeral Service will take place from the United Church, Campbellton, NL on Monday, December 4, 2023 at 1 PM. The interment will take place from the United Church Cemetery, Loon Bay, NL.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the United Church Cemetery Fund, Loon Bay would be gratefully accepted.
