Sandra Walsh Obituary
Sandra Walsh, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at St. Clare’s Hospital on January 31, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was 69 years old.
Born to Rosalind and Edward, Sandra grew up in a warm and nurturing family alongside her brothers, Gord, Brian and Paul, as well as her sister Patsy. Though Kevin preceded her in death, Sandra cherished the bonds she shared with her siblings throughout her life.
In 1975, Sandra embarked on a lifelong journey of love and partnership with her devoted husband Frank Walsh. Their union of 49 years was marked by unwavering support, shared laughter and countless cherished memories.
Sandra was a devoted mother to her three daughters, Michelle (Scott), Melanie (Mitch) and Melissa (Colin). She took immense pride in their accomplishments and found joy in nurturing their growth and happiness. Sandra was blessed with two beautiful granddaughters, Sadie and Isla, who brought endless delight to her life.
Sandra dedicated many years of her life to serving others as a valued member of the staff at the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Center. Her kindness and warmth were a beacon of hope and comfort to both colleagues and patients alike. Sandra’s compassionate nature and unwavering dedication left an indelible mark on all those she encountered, and her legacy of empathy and care will be remembered fondly by many.
In her leisure time, Sandra enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, whether it was spending time with her family, tending to her garden or taking leisurely walks along the beautiful coastline of Holyrood.
Sandra will be remembered for her unwavering strength, her boundless love and her generous spirit. She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
A visitation and celebration of Sandra’s life will be held at Dunphy’s Funeral Home, Holyrood at a date and time to be announced in the coming days.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre in Sandra’s memory.
Sandra’s passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of her family and friends, but her memory will forever be cherished, and her spirit will continue to live on in the countless lives she touched.
May she rest in eternal peace alongside her beloved mother and father and cherished brother Kevin.
