It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of John at St Clare’s Mercy Hospital, St. John’s, NL.
He was predeceased by his wife Gertrude (Trudy) Veitch (nee Lidstone), father Gregory Veitch and mother Joesphine Veitch (nee Lewis), siblings: Gregory, Michael and Anita Veitch, mother-in-law Kathleen Lidstone and father-in-law Bert Lidstone and sister-in-law Cathy Petten.
Lovingly remembered by his sons; Mark (Josette) and John (Noella), Grandson Brandon Kennedy and wife Tera Moussignac Cimello Kennedy and daughter Killian Grace Kennedy, sister Marie Mazure, brothers: Patrick, Jerry and Bill Veitch, sisters-in-law: Carol Lidstone, Patricia Cowan and Elaine Mari, brothers-in-law: Allan, Jim, Duncan, Rick, Bill and Jeff Lidstone, many nephews, nieces and cousins, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. John will forever be remembered for his quick wit and helping others. May he Rest in Peace.
Cremation has taken place, A come and go Celebration of Life will take place at Dunphy’s Funeral Home, Holyrood on Sunday, October 29th, 2023 from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm. Inurnment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, Holyrood at a later date.
A special thank you to the nurses and staff for their care of John at St Clare’s. In lieu of flowers donations in John’s’s memory may be made to Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation.
