Angus J. Woodford Obituary
Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family at the Health Sciences Center on Friday, August 2nd, 2024, Angus Woodford “Hank”.
Angus was predeceased by his parents, Cyril and Kathleen Woodford, brother, Ted (Bernice) and sister, Pat. His parents-in-law, Mary and George Woodford, brother-in-law, Sean Woodford and sister-in-law, Bev Woodford.
Leaving to mourn, his devoted wife and caregiver for 49 years, to the end, Debbie. His sons; Doug (Leslie) and Gus, loving daughter, Dianne (Joseph) Lake. Grandchildren: Charla and Jaden Woodford, his special granddaughter, known as his little one, the light of his light, Kiley Lake and his special great nephew, Alex.
Also leaving to mourn are his brothers and sisters, Doris (Karl–deceased), Lenny (Anne), Fred (Bev), Rose (Lawrence) Dalton, Tony (Mary Lou) Hubert, Chris (John) Clift and Betty (Kent) Scott. As well as many cherished nieces, nephews and friends.
Also, to the absolute best neighbours you could ever ask for, Johnny (Darleen), Steve (Kelly) and their three boys, Garyson, John and Berklee.
Angus was a true and proud Iron Worker of the Local 764, he always talked about the work he had done, the co-workers and the camps, right to the end. A special thank you to his nieces Therese (Glenn) and Bernice (Mark). Thank you to his family doctor, Paul Walsh, for all of his care and kindness over the years. Also, to the Conception Bay Pharmacy, the staff of 4 North B of the Health Sciences Center and to the staff of Glenbrook Lodge, thanks for everything.
Resting at Dunphy’s Funeral Home, Holyrood, visitation will be held on Monday, August 5th, 2024 from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Harbour Main on Tuesday, August 6th at 10:30 am with cremation to follow.
Flowers are greatly accepted or donations in Hank’s memory may be made to a the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre, Canadian Diabetes Association, or Sts. Peter and Paul Parish.
As Angus would always say,
“I’m sitting on the dock of the bay” and “See you Christmas!”
