Beverly was a deeply beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She was born November 28, 1948, and lived in Bishop’s Falls, where she met and fell in love with the love of her life Patrick Kennedy or as she called him Pattie. They were married on Aug 8th , 1970 and celebrated 54 years together!
Pat, Jamie, Jodi and the grandchildren were Bev’s whole world. She was so proud of each of them and that could be witnessed as she would be gleaming with pride when they were in her presence, or if she was talking about any or all of them.
Beverly worked hard for her family, and it was evident that they were always at the forefront of her mind. She ensured that both Jamie and Jodi had whatever they needed to feel supported and navigate through life. She was always only a phone call away and went above and beyond to show her love for her children.
Bev’s sisters and sister-in-laws were not only her family but some of her closest friends. She loved her “time away” with her sisters in West Pond, they were certainly a “tight knit crew”. They also didn’t let many special occasions pass without spending time together, Boxing Day perhaps being one of the bigger annual events. Confirming her attendance only verified her regard of the importance and the love of her family. Most all of her activities revolved around her family and friends.
Bev enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid reader, who enjoyed her downtime curled up with a good novel either at home or at the cabin. She somehow always knew the “best series” to recommend watching and when you took her recommendation, she always wanted your feedback! She certainly enjoyed her time with her grandchildren. The endless card games, joking and making memories with Joshua, Brady and Brianna. There were a lot of spa days spent with Kennedy and Lauren, painting their nails and sharing stories. Along with the hours of playing hide and seek with Cole who never wanted the game to end. All of this time that she valued and held close to her heart.
Bev graciously greeted everyone with a smile and twinkle in her eye, most often followed by a compliment and her coined phrase ,” How are you Honey bunch?”.
If on a rare occasion she was upset, you still heard her say “ oh give it up honey bunch”. Her caring nature and positive attitude allowed her to find beauty in everyone who crossed her path. Bev’s attitude and selfless demeanor set the tone when you were in her presence, as anyone in her company always felt welcome .
Beverly would not want us to be sad, she would want us all to celebrate her life and the time we were privileged to have with her. She was a woman who valued and truly loved her own life and all those that were honored to share it with her.
“There are special people in our lives who never leave us even after they are gone. We do not remember days, we remember moments.” “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened. The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched, they must be felt with the heart.”
