It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Kate Forsey of Grand Bank announces her passing. Kate passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at her home on Wednesday, November 15th, 2023, at the age of 70.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her husband Bruce of 25 years; daughter, Deanna Grandy (Willis) of Paradise; grandchildren, Brittany Grandy (Adam Green), Taylor Grandy (Noah O’Neill); sisters, Mercedes Molloy, Leona Kilfoy (John), Adela Hayes (Kevin); plus a large circle of extended family and friends.
Kate was predeceased by son, Craig Power.
In following Kate’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
A “Family Only” funeral service will take place at St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church Frenchman’s Cove, NL on Monday, November 20th, 2023 at 2:00 pm. Inurnment to follow at St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Cemetery in Frenchman’s Cove.

To my family, friends, and
loved ones I now must say farewell,
Do not grieve, or mourn for me,
For I am going where peace does dwell.
I know that I must leave you now,
I hope you understand;
Although you cannot see me,
I will be close at hand.
As you continue on your journey
My memories will be there too;
And one day when you are lonely
They will comfort you.
So God bless and keep you my dear ones
Until you reach your end;
There you will find me waiting
And we will meet again.
