It is with sad hearts that the family of the late Eva Rosanna Cribb announces her peaceful passing. Eva passed away at the Blue Crest Nursing Home in Grand Bank, NL on January 23, 2024 at the age of 93.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her sons, Chesley (Barb) Cribb, Murray (Mavis) Cribb and her daughter Sharon (Tony) Kelly, Marystown; daughter-in-law, Lana Cribb, Torbay; sisters, Amelia Crewe of Halifax, NS and Emily Cribb of Marystown; sister-in-law Patricia Cribb of Stephenville; 12 grandchildren, Ira, Kelly, Jeremy, Lacey, Holly, Dylan, Anneliese, Michael, Jordan, Kelsey, Jonathan and Samantha; 12 great-grandchildren, Cody, Lauren, Beckham, Scarlett Eva, Everly, Gabe, Wyatt, Willow, Eleanor, Jude and Margot and step grand-daughter, Kataleya; plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Eva Rosanna was born in the small community of Grole, Hermitage Bay on March 21, 1930.
Eva was predeceased by her husband of 57 years Chesley; her parents Morgan and Hannah (Marks) Taylor; son, John Raymond Cribb; brothers Max and John Taylor; sisters, Eva Taylor Sarah Elizabeth May and Elma Rose.
Eva’s memory will live on in her gentle ways and soft, kind words. Hers was a life of devotion to her family and her church. Never a harsh word and always a smile.
The family wishes special thanks to the staff at the Blue Crest Nursing Home in Grand Bank for their kindness and special care provided to Eva during her last few days before her passing.
The Cribb Family will be accepting visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Home, Marystown on Wednesday, January 24th at
7:00pm to 9:00pm
and Thursday, January 25, 2024 from
10:00am to 12:00pm
2:00pm to 4:00pm
7:00 pm to 9:00pm.
A funeral service will take place at St. Michael’s Anglican Church on Friday, January 26th, 2024 at 2:00pm
Interment to follow at St. Michael’s Anglican Cemetery, Creston Highway.
In Eva’s memory donations may be made to St. Michael’s Anglican Cemetery Fund or flowers gratefully accepted.
