It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Elmira Prior of Grand Bank announces her passing.
Elmira passed away at the Blue Crest Nursing Home in Grand Bank on Tuesday, December 19th, 2023, at the age of 89. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her son, Keith Prior (Margaret); sister, Shirley Hillier of Grand Bank; 2 grandchildren, Neil Prior (Laura), Bradley Prior (Chantel); 3 great-grandchildren, McKinley March, Alex Prior and Isaac Prior; special nieces, Brenda Keeping (Charles), Wendy Hillier and Shelley Hillier; sister in law, Isabelle Fizzard, plus a large circle of extended family and friends.
Elmira was predeceased by husband, Owen Prior; parents, William and Annie Fizzard; brothers, Eli Fizzard, Morgan Tapper, Steve Tapper; sisters, Jenny Price, Beatie Rose, Gladys Keeping; brother in law, Onslow Hillier.
The Prior Family will be accepting visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Home, Grand Bank, NL A0E 1W0 on Wednesday, December 20th, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and again from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Funeral service will take place at Salvation Army Citadel in Grand Bank on Thursday, December 21st, 2023 at 11:00 am.
Interment to follow at Salvation Army Cemetery.
