It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Elizabeth ‘Janie’ Clarke of English Harbour East announces her passing. Janie passed away at the Blue Crest Nursing Home in Grand Bank on Sunday, October 15th, 2023, at the age of 80. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her husband of 57 years, Randell; sons, Barry Clarke (Priscilla Hackett) of English Harbour East, Randell Clarke (Ruby) of Medicine Hat, AB, Darren Clarke (Kerri) of English Harbour East; daughters, Diane Clarke (Leo Mitchell) of English Harbour East, Joanne Brushett (Glen) of Jacques Fontaine; son-in-law Anthony Hackett of English Harbour East; 13 grandchildren, Joshua, Makayla, Travis, Kaitlin, Keisha, Damien (Lorna), Gavin, Taylor, Tyler, Alicia (Steven), Antonio, Adrian, Aaron; 3 great-grandchildren, Daxton, Finley, Reid; sister Loretta Bolt (Loren) of Kingston, ON; brother Melvin Labour (Wilma) of English Harbour East; plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Elizabeth was predeceased by daughter Karen Hackett; parents, Bridget & William Labour; brother Maurice Labour (Jessie); sister Mary Kearley (Jim); sister-in-law Elizabeth Labour; parents-in-law, Mabel & William Clarke
The Clarke Family will be accepting visitors at Peninsula Funeral Home (4 Markland Road Creston South) on
Wednesday, October 18th, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Thursday, October 19th, 2023 from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Marystown on Friday, October 20th, 2023 at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at St. Anne’s R.C. Cemetery in English Harbour East.
In Janie’s memory donations may be made to The Clarke Family or flowers gratefully accepted.
