It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Derrick Gerard Stacey of Point May announces his passing. Derrick passed away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital in St. John’s on Tuesday, October 10th, 2023, at the age of 59.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his brothers, Kevin (Molly) of St. John’s and Wayne (Georgina) of Point May; sisters, Marie of Point May and Jean of St. John’s; nieces, Barbara (Chris) Ottawa, Deanne (Andrew) of Fort McMurray, April (Albert) of Burin and Valene (Chris) of Point May; nephew, Mark of St. John’s; great nieces, Madelyn and Abigail; great nephews, Clark and Christopher; his many home care workers over the years especially his most recent Wanda Lee and his many cousins and friends who adored him.
Derrick was predeceased by his parents, Leslie and Vera Stacey; brothers, Clyde, Gary and Terrence; and sister, Madonna.
The Stacey Family will be accepting visitors at Church of the Most Holy Rosary in Point May on
Friday, October 13
2:00 pm to 4:00 pm
7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Church of the Most Holy Rosary on Saturday, October 14th, 2023 at 3:00 pm. Cremation to follow.
