It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Blanche Ducey of Marystown announces her passing. Blanche passed away at the Blue Crest Nursing Home in Grand Bank on Monday, January 15th, 2024, at the age of 73.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her brothers, Jim (Maudie) Ducey of Mount Pearl, Patrick (Blanche) Ducey of Marystown, Joe (Lillian) Ducey of Marystown, Mike (Veronica) Ducey of St. Lawrence; sisters, Nellie (Ed) Pike of Gander, Gertie Gaulton of Marystown, Rachel Marks of Burin, Betty (Alvin) Kirby of Burin; sister-in-law Rosalind Ducey of Marystown; plus a large circle of relatives and friends.
Blanche was predeceased by her parents, Patrick & Eliza Ducey; sister Mary & brother-in-law Phonse Warren; baby brother Billy Ducey; brother Pius Ducey; brothers-in-law, Donald Marks, John Gaulton; sister-in-law Mabel Ducey.
In honoring her wishes, cremation will take place.
The Ducey Family will be accepting visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Home, Marystown on

Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Marystown on Monday, January 22, 2043 at 10:30 am. Inurnment to follow at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery, Marystown.
In Blanche’s memory, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Burin Peninsula SPCA.
