It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Bernice Lockyer of Boat Harbour announces her passing. Bernice passed away at Kingsway Living in Grand Bank on Wednesday, November 1st, 2023, at the age of 70.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her husband, Joe of 53 years; daughter, Marsha Anderson (Jonathan) of Burin; sons, Colin Lockyer (Krista) of Brooks, AB, Sheldon Lockyer (Connie) of Grand Bank and Andrew Lockyer of Marystown; 8 grandchildren, Blake (Kathryn), Brayden, Evan (Megan), Regen (Dylan), Kennedy, Liam, Dylan and Peyton; sisters, Sylvia King (Leonard) of Clarenville, Doreen Hollett (Alton) of Keligrews, Marilyn Downey of Glovertown, Jessie Van Doren of New Mexico and Carol Crowther (Mike) of Nova Scotia; brothers, David Smith of Nova Scotia and Leroy Smith (Marguerite) of Arnold’s Cove; plus a large circle of extended family and friends.
Bernice was predeceased by her parents, David & Emily Smith; sisters, Alice, Elizabeth and Anita; brother, Don; and nephews, Jason and Corey Lockyer.
Special thank you to Tammy Stone and the staff at Kingsway Living for the wonderful care and compassion given to her during her short stay.
In honoring her wishes, cremation will take place.
