Jane’s Obituary
It is with great sorrow and the fondest of memories that the family of the Late Jane Keats (nee King) announce her passing on Saturday, October 21st, 2023 at the Long Term Care Centre in Corner Brook, NL in her 82nd year. Leaving to cherish the memories and mourn her passing are her beloved children Nathaniel (Maureen), John (Betty Lou), Margaret (James), and Shirley (Derrick); grandchildren Robert, Larissa, Shauna, Adam, Jordan, Katherine, Julia, and Jacob ; great grandchildren Alixandra, Caleb, Avery and Laura; siblings Wilbert (Barb), Edward (Yvonne), and Eric (Valdene); sisters-in-law Pearl, Elsie, Flossie, Beulah, Doreen, Meta, and Ina and her special friend Norma who she thought of as a sister.
Jane was predeceased by the love of her life, her sweetheart Clevis who she missed dearly and with whom she has now reunited with at last; son Chesley, parents Nathaniel and Bessie King; parents-in-law Samuel and Phillipina Keats; brothers Samuel, Steward and Daniel;brothers-in -law Jack, Harvey, Boyd, Milton and Lawrence and sisters-law Ivy, Kay and Patsy.
The family will be receiving friends and family on Tuesday, October 24th from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm at Parsons Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at St Paul’s United Church Wednesday, October 25th at 2pm. with Rev. Simon. Interment will follow at the United section at the Interdenominational cemetery, Wight’s Rd., Deer Lake.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of the Corner Brook Long Term Care Centre for the exceptional care given to Jane.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Deer Lake Food Bank in Jane’s memory. This organization was near and dear to her as she supported and volunteered with them throughout her years. Donations via EMT may be sent to deerlakefoodbank@gmail.com
