Obituary
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of a dear husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, David Garland House. He passed peacefully in the palliative care unit at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home, St. Johns, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 75, after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories; his wife of 53 years Christine House, his children Sonya (Donald) Drover, Twila (Darrell) Hynes and Gail Wyness. His grandchildren Taylor, Mackenzie, Hannah, Jacob, Logan, David, Michael and Mackenna. Sister Olive (Ray) Sheppard, Shirley (Junior) House, and brother Casey (Dulcie) House, Mother in law Elizabeth Payne, Sister in law Darlene Wells and a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Predeceased by his parents Garland and Bessie House, grandparents Allan and Joanna House and Grant and Sarah House, in laws Charles Payne, Agnus and Eli House, and Claude Wells.
Special thanks to St. Patrick’s Mercy Home staff of 2EW and 3EW, Port Saunders Hospital staff and Cancer Care staff at the Health Science Center for their kind compassionate care.
Visitations will take place at the Pentecostal Church in River of Ponds Sunday October 6th,2024 from 7-9pm and Monday October 7th,2024 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Where also the funeral service will be on Tuesday October 8th,2024 at 2pm. with Pastors Caleb and Sarah Marche officiating.
