It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a special man, Thomas Brendan Myers. He quietly surrendered to his heavenly home on Saturday, November 4th, 2023 at the Rufus Guinchard Health Care Centre while surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 80.
Thomas was born in Bartlett’s Harbour, NL but lived most of his life in Port au Choix, NL. He was a very quiet, gentle, loving, soft spoken person. Anyone who knew him could not help but to love him. He was married to Eileen, the love of his life for 53 years with whom they had three children. Thomas loved music. His favorite pastime was playing the accordion, many a tune he played.
He is predeceased by his parents Thomas Sr. and Annie Myers, sister Annie, parents-in-law Helena and Abraham Hughes, sister-in-law Kathleen, nephews Robert Myers and Carl Hughes.
Thomas is survived by his loving wife Eileen, daughters Deanna (Toby); Denise (Isaac) and son Thomas (Danielle); 6 grandchildren: Robyn, Ashton (Shaelene), Brayden (Breanna), Keisha, Lucas and Tommy; siblings: Calvin, Edward (Winnifred), Olive (Frank).
Visitation will take place at St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church in Port au Choix, NL.
Tuesday, November 7, 2023 from 2pm – 9pm.
Wednesday, November 8, 2023 from 1pm – 9pm with a Family Service @ 7pm.
Funeral Mass / Celebration of Life will be on Thursday, November 9, 2023 @ 2pm with Father Rossi Officiating. Interment to follow at the Sandy Cove Interfaith Cemetery, Port Saunders, NL.
