Randy J. Harnum, passed peacefully on Thursday, February 8, 2024 surrounded by his family. Randy was born May 1, 1954 in St. John’s, Newfoundland to parents, Gertrude and Selwyn Harnum. He leaves to mourn with loving memories his wife, Wan and step-daughter, Sprite, his daughters, Tonya (Darryl), Tracey (Brad), and son Michael (Stephanie). He loved his grandchildren, Julia, Rachel, Rebecca, Patrick, and Liam. He will be missed and remembered fondly by his siblings, Tony (Bet), Nanette (Glen), Kim (Shawn), Donna (Maurice). He was predeceased by his father, Selwyn/ Hank and best friend and brother, Gary. He was well known for his fun-loving, friendly personality and incredible sales skills at Tony’s No Frills and The Appliance Shop in Corner Brook. After he moved to Alberta, he enjoyed a long career at Di-Corp. Randy loved playing darts, golf, fishing, and listening to George Jones. He was a die hard Toronto Maple Leaf’s fan. He loved dogs, swimming, and Sunday dinners. After retiring, his favorite vacation spot was Thailand, where he met and fell in love with his wife, Wan. Randy had the most joyful and contagious laugh. He will be missed and lovingly remembered. A service will be held in Newfoundland at a later date.
