The Mulcahy Family would like to sincerely thank all who supported us with love and generosity on the passing of our sweet, cherished Mom and Nanny.
To the family, friends and neighbors who visited, brought gifts of food, phoned, messaged, sent flowers, mass offerings, sympathy cards, donated to charities, gave warm hugs and comforting words – each gesture was appreciated and will be remembered. Special thanks to Kelli O’Brien for your kind, thoughtful support and friendship.
To Dr. Bob O’Driscoll for the many years of commitment and utmost care you gave to Mom’s health and well-being. To the staff of Mountainview Estates who provided a comfortable, safe home for our Mom, we appreciate your kindness. A heartful thank you to the healthcare team of 4A and the Palliative Care Unit of Western Health – with sincere thanks to Dr. Farzaneh, Dr. Kate Lafferty, and nurses Maureen Ryan and Jackie Knee for your outstanding expertise and compassion.
To Fr. Edward Terry, we were very honored by your dedication to our Mom’s faith and spiritual journey, especially in her final weeks, and moved by your insightful words as Celebrant of her funeral mass. To Uriel Boland of the Most Holy Redeemer Bereavement Team for the comforting way you helped us plan her service. Thank you to the servers, choir, and the uplifting voices that filled the Cathedral. Sincere gratitude to Rose Joyce, Philomena Carroll and all the members of the Catholic Women’s League for your prayers, presence, and the Honor Guard. Each and every one of you helped make a sad occasion, a truly reflective and joyful celebration of a life well lived.
To Fillatre’s Funeral Home for the graciousness and sensitivity you showed us, your professionalism is exceptional. To family and friends who watched Mom’s funeral virtually and were with us prayerfully in spirit. Finally, to the members of our extended family who travelled from across the province to surround us with the comfort and warmth unique to families.
This outpouring of compassion and support will always be remembered, and inspires us to lead better lives. A special place is held in our hearts for those who shared in our Mom’s beautiful life.
In appreciation of your love and kindness.
John, Maureen, Brenda, and Families.
