Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gerald Norman Murrin announce his passing on Tuesday, March 12th, 2024 at the Corner Brook Palliative Care Unit, at the age of 74 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife of 33 years: Emma Murrin (nee Joyce); son: Jeff Murrin; stepsons: Trevor Park (Michelle), and Wade Park (Tenille); daughter: Wanda Allen (Peter); stepdaughter: Cora-Lee Park (Shane Pelley); special grandson: Casey; as well as many more special grandchildren and great grandchildren; his brother: Neil Murrin; sisters: Mae and Matilda; brothers-in-law; Bob (Alma), and Mark; sisters-in-law: Dallas, Lynn (Gary), Dorothy (Keith) and Freida; and mother-in-law: Dinah Hussey; as well as a large circle of nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends.
Gerald is predeceased by his parents: Sidney and Elizabeth Murrin; son: Tim Murrin; brothers: Sidney, Jack, Ivan, and Clyde; and sisters: Florence, Mary, and Shirley.
There will be a visitation held on Thursday, March 14th, 2024 at Country Haven Funeral Home from the hours of 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM, from where the funeral service will take place on Friday, March 15th, 2024 at 11 AM in the Country Haven Chapel with Rev. Terry Loder officiating. Interment to follow at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or a donation can be made in Gerald’s memory to the Canadian Lung Association.
