It is with great sadness that the family of the late Catherine Fay Hiscock (nee. Evans) announce her sudden passing on Sunday, November 23rd, 2024 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 79 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her husband of 63 years: Cecil Hiscock; children: Brenda Power (Len), and Janice Power (Philip); grandchildren: Justin Smith (Melissa), Christine Smith (Christopher), and Kyle Power (Laura); great-grandchildren: Dawson Frampton, Lucas Smith, Cameron Smith, Ethan Yates and Nickolas Yates; brothers and sisters: Lenora Warren, Debora Wheeler, and Violet Tucker; brothers: Alfred Evans, and William Evans; and brother-in-law: Fred Hiscock; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Fay is predeceased by her son: Craig Hiscock; parents: Lewis and Grace Evans; sister: Nellie Taylor; brother: Gilbert Evans; special aunt and uncle: Eulah and Chesley Howell; and sisters-in-law: Hilda Francis, and Sheila Hiscock.
Cremation to take place. There will be a visitation held on Wednesday, November 27th, 2024 at Country Haven Funeral Home from the hours of 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM, from where the funeral service will take place at 2 PM on Thursday, November 28th, 2024 at the First United Church, Park Street, with Rev. John van Vliet officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted, or a donation can be made in Fay’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the WMRH-Emergency Department for their care and support showing during this difficult time.
