It is with great sadness that the family of the late Desmond Benuen announce his passing on Thursday, October 17th, 2024, at the Labrador Health Centre, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL at the age of 42 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his common law partner: Josie Tshakapesh; children: Antonia Jacobish, Aiyanna Jacobish and Athena Jacobish; father: Luke Rich; brothers: Jake Rich and Trevor Rich; sisters: Lorraine Benuen, Mary Pia Rich and Akat Penashue; as well as a large circle of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Desmond was predeceased by his mother: Maggie Benuen.
A visitation will take place on Friday, October 18th, 2024, at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL from 7:00 – 9:00 pm.
A funeral service will be held at the St. Anne Tshukuminu Roman Catholic Church in Natuashish, NL on Saturday, October 19th, 2024 with Father Boniface officiating.
