Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Carol (Noel) Lanoix announce her peaceful passing on March 31st, 2024 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 81 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her partner of 25 years: Richard Pilon; children: Christina; son: Darren (Veronique); 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; her brother: Chris (Joan); sister: Donna; her dear aunt: Shirley Sullivan; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Carol is predeceased by her parents: Arch and Emmy Patey; children: Diane, Robbie, Jerry, and Robbie Jr.; sisters: Lorraine, and Effie; and her brother Austin.
Carol was born in St. Anthony, NL, on December 25th, 1942. She loved many things in life, but one of her favourites was playing guitar while singing old country music. She enjoyed a beautiful bonfire and sipping a glass of Bacardi at the camper with her sweetie Richie. She loved spending time with her beautiful grandchildren, and making memories that last a lifetime.
At her request, cremation has taken place. There will be no formal visitation or funeral service at this time. Interment to take place at Mount Patricia Cemetery on Thursday, April 11th, 2024 at 11 AM with Rev. Jocelyn Cook officiating. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Carol’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
The family would like to extend a heart felt thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff of WMRH-ICU who were there for Carol during her time of need. Also, to Carol’s home support workers with TLC, and to Rosie; who went above and beyond for Carol in her final days.
