Card of Thanks
The family of the late Barbara Wellman would like to extend a sincere thank you and appreciation for all the support from relatives, friends, and neighbours during her brief illness and the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend. Your unwavering support, presence and kind words meant a lot to us all.
We appreciate your expressions of sympathy in the form of cards, online messages, visits, phone calls, food, beautiful flowers, donations to the Western Health Palliative Care Unit, visitation to the funeral home and attendance at the funeral either in person or online. Your generosity will not be forgotten.
We are grateful to family and friends who travelled to be with us. For those who could not be here, we know your hearts were with us.
Thank you to Rev. Terry Loder and Deacon Karen Loder for a lovely funeral service. We are sure that Mom was with us, especially when the sun beamed through the beautiful stained-glass window. Special thanks to Wayne Wellman for the touching Eulogy and Fern Wellman for the beautiful solo. Thanks to the organist Dennis Barnes, the readers Roxanne, Deidre, and Toni-Lee, Rev Malcolm Palmer for the prayer, ushers Peggy and Teri -Lynn and to Greg and Bill for playing guitar and singing “This is My Home” at the graveside. We are forever grateful to all for helping us honor Mom’s wishes.
Thank you to the staff of Fillatre’s Funeral Home for their professionalism and kindness.
We express our gratitude to the staff of 3B and the Palliative Care unit for their exceptional care and compassion as well as their support to our family during this time of need. We would also like to thank Dr. Farzaneh and Dr. Grant who cared for Mom during her brief hospital stay and Dr. Mark Smallwood, Dr. Brown, and Lori for her care over the last number of years.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this as a token of our heartfelt appreciation. The incredible outpouring of love and support that surrounded us will remain with us forever.
