It is with deep sorrow that we, her family, announce the passing of our beloved mother Verna Brown on Sunday November 12, 2023.
Verna passed away at her residence in Burin at the age of 91 surrounded by the love and support of her family.
Left behind with loving memories to cherish are her children Reg (Glenda) of Corner Brook, NL, Josie (George) of Marystown, NL, Jerry of Toronto, ON, Edith (Murray) of Marystown, NL, Helen (Randy) of Burin, NL, Thomas (Karen) of Torbay, NL, Barry (Vanessa) of Burin, NL, Tammy (Scott) of Edmonton, AB and Nadine of Calgary, AB; 20 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren plus a large circle of other family and friends.
Predeceased by husband Albert; parents Joseph and Margaret Gosling; siblings Lloyd (Dorothy), Margaret and Thomas (Christine); granddaughter Janice; son-in-law William Thomas Brushett Jr.; parents-in-law George and Susan Brown; partner and special friend Morley Durnford.
The Family viewing will be on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 from 6:30-8:30PM.
Family will be accepting visitors at Serenity Funeral Home, Burin Wednesday, November 15th from 2-9PM.
Funeral Service will take place from Zion United Church, Collin’s Cove on Thursday November 16, 2023 at 1:30PM with interment following at United Cemetery, Collin’s Cove.
