It is with great sadness that the family of Brenda Handrigan announce her passing at US Memorial on Sunday, January 14th, 2024 at the age of 69.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, her son, Michael (Stephanie); daughters, Shauna and Kerri; grandson, Kevin; brothers, Gary (Hannah), Gordon (Mary Sue), and Wayne (Jackie); sisters, Wanda, Yvonne (Dave), Bernice (Remy), Marie (Joe), and Marie (Coady); sister-in-law Kate; special nieces, Bernice Handrigan and Karen Farrell; as well as a large circle of family and friends.
Predeceased by her husband, Michael; son, Kevin; parents, Patrick and Lydia Drake; brother, Kevin; parents-in-law, John and Lillian Handrigan; brothers-in-law, George and Cecil.
Brenda touched many hearts and was always willing to offer a helping hand or a listening ear to those in need. She was an amazing cook, and she took pleasure in sharing her home-cooked meals with family and friends. She loved life and absolutely adored singing and playing music. She was always the life of the party when she arrived. She always greeted you with a smile and a kind word, and would be forever making you laugh and could always pick you up when you were feeling down. She was always there to listen, understand patiently, and give you a piece of her mind. She will be greatly missed by many, and was known affectionately as “Nanny B” to many kids that she has taken care of over the years.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place at a later date.
