In Loving Memory of
Patrick Michael Joseph White
December 19, 1954 – November 10, 2024
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Patrick Michael Joseph White, a beloved husband, father, G-Dad/ Poppy Pat, brother, and friend, on Sunday, November 10th, 2024, Pat’s bright light in this world was extinguished after a courageous battle with lung disease. He was surrounded by his family, who were with him until his final breath.
Pat was predeceased by his parents, Bertram and Susanna White, his siblings: Bill, Jerry, Frank, Jim, and Annette, and his nephews Darryl and Stephen. He was also predeceased by his mother-in-law Margaret Hale-Lloyd and brother-in-law Tom Hale.
Pat leaves behind his devoted wife of 50 years, Florence, who was not only his life partner but also his best friend and confidant. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and mutual respect. He also leaves behind his cherished children: Robin (Peter), Jamie (Christine), Ian (Leigh), and Phallan (Jody), along with his beloved grandchildren: Ethan, Dylan, Ava, Ella, Addison, Reese, and Jack, who were the pride and joy of his life. Pat is survived by his brothers: Tom (Joanne), Jack (Anne), and Reg, as well as his sister Bep and Ret (Francis), and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and extended family who meant the world to him. He also held a special place in his heart for Florence’s siblings, who have been part of his life since he was 17 years old.
In addition to his immediate family, Pat leaves behind a vast circle of friends, colleagues, and business associates, including his cherished EVAS/GFT family, who were all touched by his kindness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to those he loved.
Pat’s battle with lung disease was relatively short, but in true Pat fashion, he faced it with strength, dignity, and an unyielding will. His legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A celebration of Pat’s life for anyone wanting to pay respects are welcome on Thursday Nov 14th from 1-3 pm at GFT/ EVAS Hangar at 70 CL Dobbin Drive, Gander. Followed by a visitation in his hometown at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church in Norris Arm on Friday November 15th from 1-3 pm and family officiated service from 3-4 pm.
As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery Fund or the Norris Arm BCG in his memory.
