On Sunday, May 5th, 2024, our beloved wife, mother, nanny, daughter, sister, aunt and friend passed peacefully at the James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre after a brave and courageous battle with cancer.
Deborah Ann Power, aged 64 years young is survived by her partner of 26 years, Barry Field; her daughter Renee (Danny), stepdaughter Melissa, her precious granddaughters, Brynlee and Paige; her father Malachi and siblings Geraldine (Noel), Frank (Darlene), Sharon (Byron), and Peter (Yolanda) and sister in law Kelly; along with a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She pre-deceased by her mother, Linda and brother Morris. She will also be joined in heaven by her fur babies Shadow, Cuddles, Lucky and Buddy.
A special thanks to the staff at the Cancer Centre and General Surgery at JPM for the amazing care Debbie received during her final days. Cremation has taken place. Family will be accepting friends at Stacey’s Funeral Home, Gander on Wednesday, May 8th from 2:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, May 9th at 1:30 P.M. from St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the DR . H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre or the Gander & Area SPCA as animals held a special place in her heart.
