Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family at Dr. A.A. Wilkinson Memorial Hospital, Old Perlican on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, Walter James Pottle of Job’s Cove, age 76 years.
Predeceased by parents: James and Emma; infant sister: Marjorie; brother: Cecil; nephew: Walter.
Leaving to mourn, his loving wife of 53 years, Winnie; loving children: Wendy (Darrell), Shannon (Robin), and Wally (Cheryl); the sparkle in his eyes, his grandchildren: Megan (Brandon), Emma (Nick), and Cheyanne; great-grandchildren: Ethan, Owen, Irelynn, and Adalynn; sisters: Jessie, Myrtle, Jocelyn, Frances, and Judy; brothers: Roy, Boyd (Sharon), and Kenneth; special friend and cousin: Frank Norris; also a large number of other relatives and friends.
Visitation at Noel’s Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay on Saturday, February 17 from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Funeral service to take place on Sunday, February 18 at 1:00 p.m. from Noel’s Memorial Chapel, Western Bay. Private family interment to be held at a later date.
As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the NL Lung Association, 15 Pippy Place, St. John’s, NL, A1B 3X2, online at lung.ca or a charity of one’s choice.
