Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital surrounded by her loving family on Monday, December 30, 2024, Margaret ‘Peggy’ Pike of Harbour Grace, age 86 years.
Peggy was born and raised on Bell Island and was one of four daughters and three sons of Hedley and Bella Bursey. She moved to Harbour Grace and married Wally Pike in 1968. They had two very active sons who quickly grew bigger than her and of course were involved in every sport possible. She loved her boys more than anything and then welcomed four grandchildren in four years fussing over them like a grandmother does.
Predeceased by parents: Hedley and Bella Bursey; brothers: Don, Kevin (Doris), and Bill; sister: Pat (Walt); nieces and nephews: Rhonda Martin and Gerry Tremblett, Lorraine, Donny and Karen Lewis; sisters-in-law: Bernice (Frank) Pike, Ruby (Warrick) King, and Ada Pike; brother-in-law: Adolphe Penney.
Leaving to mourn with many special memories, husband: Wallace; sons: Craig (Lisa) and Gary (Marlene); grandchildren: Melissa (Chris), Chelsea (Emily), Jeremy (Gabrielle), Adam (Nathan), Marcus and Chelsea; sisters: Mollie (Gerald) and Lois (Wayne); brother-in-law: Neville; sisters-in-law: Marilyn and Minnie; also a large number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation at Noel’s Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace on Friday, January 3 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Funeral service to take place on Friday, January 3 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel’s Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace.
Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Harbour Grace.
