It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Loretta Hartson of Mortier, NL announces her passing. Loretta passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre on April 7, 2024 at the age of 85. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her children, William Hartson of Mortier, Thomas Hartson of Barrie, ON, Bonnie Moulton (Glen) of Burin, Aiden Hartson (Jan) of Barrie, ON, Leo Hartson (Marilyn) of Fox Cove and Alec Hartson of Mortier; 9 grandchildren, Alisha, Austin, Ben, Jonathan, Bradley, Brittany, Chris, Melissa, Megan; 6 great-grandchildren, Stella, Zoe, Chloe, Keira, Justin, Michael; sisters, Ann Critch, Lucy Power, Ellen Moulton (Wade); brothers, Tom Power (Mona), Joe Power (Beatrice), Paul Power (Alice), Leo Power (Sarah), Jerome Power (Darlene); plus a large circle of extended family and friends.
Loretta was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Hartson; beloved parents, Gertrude & Richard Power; parents-in-law, Bridget & William Hartson; sisters-in-law, Pat Power, Lillian Power, Annie Abbott (Ernest), Irene Brown (Gordon); brother-in-law, Aiden Critch; and special friend, Hannah Power.
The Hartson Family will be accepting visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Home in Burin on:
Wednesday, April 10
10:00am to 4:00pm
6:00pm to 9:00pm
A funeral service will take place at Wiseman’s Funeral Homes – Burin at:
Thursday, April 11, 2024 at 10:00am
Cremation to follow and inurnment at a later date.
In Loretta’s memory donations may be made to The Fox Cove-Mortier Community Centre or flowers gratefully accepted.
