It is with great sadness that the family of the late Florence Mary Martin (nee King) of Lamaline announce her passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre on Sunday June 30, 2024 at the age of 86.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her sons: Melvin (Karen) of Lamaline, Lewis (Helen) of Lamaline, Ralph (Melita) of Lamaline, Lester (Dianne) of Lamaline, Raymond (Natasha) of Lamaline, Nelson ( Margaret) of Lords Cove, Calvin ( Christine) of Winterton. 13 Grandchildren, 12 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandchild. Special friends, Frank and Odette. Her Caregivers, especially Karen Loder, plus a large circle of family and friends.
Predeceased by her husband Thomas William Martin on June 12, 2017, son Derrick, brother Aubrey, Parents Edgar King and Phoebe Foote.
Special thanks to the nursing staff at Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre- your care for our mom was greatly appreciated.
Cremation has taken place with a funeral service to be announced at a later time.
In Florence’s memory donations may be made to the family. No flowers by request of the family.
