It is with broken hearts we announce the peaceful passing of William “Bill” Byrne at the Health Sciences Centre on Sunday, November 19th, 2023 in the presence of his family at the age of 77.
Predeceased by his parents, John and Ellen Byrne; mother and father-in-law, Raymond and Nora McHugh; son, William; sister, Margaret (Lawrence) Ryan; brother, Gus (Margaret) Byrne.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his best friend and loving wife of 51 years, Mary (nee Moriarity); children, Nancy (Ronnie), Sis, Arlene (Keith), Tommy (Nora), Colleen (Jason), Michael (Mary), Lesley (Ray), John (Janice) and Samantha (Geoff); grandchildren, Aaron (Ashley), Jessica (Ryan), Clare (Jordan), Jordon, Kyle (Becky), Morgan, Gavin, Isabel, Jadem, Tyler, Joshua, Olivia, and Hunter; great-grandchildren Charlotte and Riley; Siblings Jim, Jack (Shelia), George (Nancy deceased), Don (Dorothy), Howard (Ros), and Madeline (Jack); also a large number of other relatives and friends.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff, doctors and nurses at the Carbonear Hospital and the Health Sciences Centre for their kindness and compassion.

Funeral to take place from Our Lady of Snows Church, Marysvale on: To be announced.
with interment to follow in the R.C. Cemetery, Brigus.
