It is with great sadness we the family of Alma Akerman announce her passing on Thursday June 13, 2024 at the age of 79.
Alma will be remembered by her sons Derek(Charmaine), Darrin(Shauna) and Dwayne(Sherri), her loving grandchildren Madilyn, Sara and Andrew, brothers Jim(Isabel) Francis and Gord(Mabel, deceased) Francis, Brother-in-laws David Akerman(Shirley deceased), Harry Joe Fudge(Beverly deceased), Ed Lundrigan(Judy deceased), Bill Antle(Jess deceased) and a large circle of friends, nieces and nephews.
Alma was pre-deceased by her loving husband Ralph, mother Alice Francis, sisters, Rita Blagdon (Oscar), Mary Pardy (Phil), Jean Antle (Pius), Mildred Francis, and brother Jack Francis
Alma was a mom and grandmother first. She would light up when speaking about her grandchildren and her boys. As a close second, she enjoyed feeding everyone. Whether it was a church function or family gathering, There would always be a special twinkle in her eye when there was a crowd around and someone asked for a recipe.
Visitation to be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service at Cupids United Church, Sunday, June 16th, at 2pm. Internment to follow in Cupids United Church Cemetery.
