It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Jessie Maud Bath announces her passing from her family residence in La Scie, NL on Monday, November 18, 2024 at the age of 93 years.
Jessie Maud Bath was born to Clifford and Mary-Ann Toms in La Scie on October 9, 1931. She married her loving husband Roy Bath on August 29, 1973. Roy and Jessie made their life in La Scie with their beloved daughter Mary-Lynn, who was the center of their attention.
Jessie started working at a young age. She first worked at co-op and Schwartz Stores. Then she started working in the fish plant until she retired. She lived at home with her husband Roy and daughter Mary-Lynn, husband (Chris) who in the last few years cared for them both.
Jessie loved life and her family very much. She was a very strong hardworking wife, mother. A very loving mother and mother-in-law, sister, aunt and friend. She loved when family and friends visited. The more the merrier. Everyone was treated the same. Nobody would leave without a lunch. She especially loved when her nieces and nephews showed up, who were all like grandchildren to her.
She loved each and everyone of them unconditionally. In the mornings Jessie would look forward to a facetime call from her little sweetheart Saylor, who she adored. Jessie did a lot of knitting for past time, which she done right up until she passed.
Jessie committed her life to the Lord years ago and continued to watch church services online when she couldn’t get out to attend her own. She was promoted to Glory on November 18, 2024.
She is predeceased by her parents, Clifford and Mary-Ann Toms; parents-in-law, Thomas and Elizabeth Bath; sister, Marguerite Morey (Percy); sister-in-law, Ruby Burton (Herb).
Left to cherish many wonderful memories is husband Roy Bath; daughter, Mary-Lynn Burton (Chris); siblings-in-law, Arthur Bath (Ivy), Keith Bath (Melina); special nieces & nephews, Byron (Sharon) Morey, Lloyd (Sharon) Morey, Terry (Sandra) Morey, Sharlene (Stacy) Jahns, Steve Mahaney, Shane Morey (Dale), Nikita (Blair) Wamholdt, Suzette (Brady) O’Brien, Brady (Kaitlyn) Morey, Brandon Morey, Cameron Critch (Chase), Olivia Haas (Jalen), Courtney Critch, Ella Mahaney, Drew, Reece, Claire O’Brien, Saylor Morey; Home care workers, Sharon Critch, Tina Fallis, Erica Foster; special friend, Iona Toms.
Public visitation will take place from The Salvation Army Church, La Scie, NL on Friday, November 22, 2024 from 11am to 9pm.
The Funeral Service will take place from The Salvation Army Church, La Scie, NL on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 2pm, with Envoy Sandra Pinksen officiating. Interment will follow from The Salvation Army Cemetery, La Scie, NL.
