William “Wayne” Lander

It is with great sadness that we announce that on Monday, June 24th, 2024, at the age of 74 years, William “Wayne” Lander passed peacefully away at Bonavista Hospital with niece Greta by his side.
Over the past recent years Wayne has suffered from many health issues and will be missed by many.
Wayne was a quiet yet fun loving man who worked at the Bonavista Fish Plant all his life. He never married but over the years he made many great friends who he loved dearly.
The family wishes to express their thanks to everyone who has offered help to Wayne over the years, the staff of Golden Heights Manor and the medical staff at Bonavista Hospital.
Wayne was predeceased by his parents Greta (Power) and William Lander. Brother Roy, sisters Grace and Marie (Goodland).
With found and loving memories he is survived by, brothers Norman (Flossie), Boyd (Mae), Eugene (Loretta), special brother-in-law Alex Goodland, as well as many nieces, nephews and their families.
Cremation has taken place. There will be one day visitation and a graveside service to follow at a later date.
