It is with broken hearts that the family of Victor Mahoney announce his passing. Victor passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones at Bonavista Hospital on November 19th, 2024 at the age of 79.
Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Agatha Mahoney; brother Kevin Mahoney; niece Sherri Hoskins.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his wife of 56 years, Shirlee; son Brooks (Kayla), granddaughter Brooklynn; brother Gus (Edna); and a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends.
Victor was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. His family was his world. He was a wonderful husband to his wife Shirlee. His son Brooks meant everything to him and was truly his best friend. His granddaughter Brooklynn whom he worshiped was his pride and joy. He loved her beyond measure, she was the light of his life. Whatever she wanted, poppy would surely do it. He was a gentle, kind- hearted man that was a friend to everyone. He was always there to lend a helping hand and would do anything he could to help anyone.
Victor loved spending time out on the water when the recreational fishery was open, taking his granddaughter and dog Max for a ride on the quad, cutting wood with his son Brooks, and most of all spending time with his family.
We would like to thank the nurses and doctors at Bonavista Hospital for their care and support.
Cremation will take place, funeral details will be available at a later date.
