Passed peacefully away following a short battle with cancer; Paul Humby at the age of 67 at the Bonavista Health Center, surrounded by family.
Paul was born and raised in Melrose. He worked on FPI trawlers for a few years. He then moved to Toronto, and from there, Manitoba, where he worked as a security guard until he moved back to Newfoundland to live the remainder of his life with his wife Karen.
Predeceased by his wife Karen Humby (Hicks), his parents John and Madeline Humby and Brother Gerald Humby.
Leaving to mourn; Daughter Crystal (Albert), Step Daughter Isabel (Dan), Sons Austin (Tyler) and Brian. Sisters Helen (Frank), Marguerite (Barry), Jacqueline (Dan) and Yvonne (Fred). Brothers Edward (Phyllis), Aiden (Phyllis), Tony, Dennis (Patsy), Caren (Michelle) and John (Bonnie). Brothers-in-law Dave (Kim) and Murray (Jutta). Sister-in-law Ruth (Randy), all his grandchildren and a large circle of family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February, 18th from 2:00-4:00pm (Family viewing) and 7:00-9:00pm and on Monday, 19th from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm at Strathie’s Funeral Home, Catalina
Wake Service will take place on Monday, February 19th at 7:00pm
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 20th at 11:00am from the Roman Catholic Church, Port Union.
