Derrick Fisher
January 24th, 1966- July 23rd, 2024
It is with profound sadness that we the family announce the sudden passing of a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle; Derrick Fisher, age 58.
Derrick was predeceased by his parents Daphne and Ralph Fisher, grandparents Dorothy and Bennett Fisher, Elizabeth and Roy Keel and brother in law Claude Fifield.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Brenda, children Jeremy (Lacey) and Josh (Noelle), grandchildren Allie, Bobbi and Ryah, brother Jason (Kelly), sister Paulette (Randy), his mother and father-in-law Hilda and Ralph Fifield, brother-in-law Jamie Fifield (Susann), nephews Lee (Julia), Jordan and Daniel, nieces Hillary, Helana, Kelsey and great nephew Garrett., uncles Roy Keel (Shirley), Ross Keel (Marina), Calvin Fisher (Cecilia) and aunt Mable Fisher. Also a large circle of cousins and friends.
Derrick was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, son-in-law, and brother-in-law. His family was his world. He was a wonderful husband to his wife Brenda for 34 years. His son’s meant everything to him, he was so proud of them and they were truly his best friends.
Derrick loved being a poppy, it brought so much joy to his life. He loved his three girls beyond measure, they were the sunshine of his life. Whatever they wanted, poppy would surely do it. Every time he spoke of them you could see how much he loved and adored them.
Derrick started fishing at a young age. Over the years he fished with many men, made lots of friends along the way, and the last number of years he also fished with his wife, sons and brother. It made him so happy being out on the water with his family.
Derrick was a friend to many and always loved having a chat and a game of cards with them. He loved watching a good hockey game, especially if his team, Montreal Canadiens, were playing, he surely enjoyed it.
Derrick had a heart of gold, he was loved so much and will be missed by his family and friends.
