It is with deep sadness, with her loving daughter Francine, niece Michelle and very special friends by her side, we announce the passing of Claudine Ricketts (Butler) of Knights Cove, Bonavista Bay at the Labrador West Health Centre in Labrador City on August 9th, 2024.
Claudine was predeceased by her husband James; grandson Alexander Harty; parents Edmund and Elizabeth Butler; brother Roy Butler; sisters Naomi Tripp, Jean (Clyde) Hounsell and Peggy (Tom) Duffett. Left to mourn are her daughters Kim (Barry) Murphy, Sherri (Lou) Harty, Lee Ann (Shel) Graupe and Francine Ricketts. Grandchildren Bradley, Brandon and Blake (Megan) Murphy, Adam and Nathan Singleton and Grant (Nadia) Harty, brother Cyril (Audrey) Butler, sister-in-law Maisie Butler, very special friends and care workers Alice Ryan, Nellie Blackmore and Julie Rose; as well as a very large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Special thanks to all the management and staff at the Labrador West Health Centre Long Term Care Unit for making Claudine and Francine feel like family. Their love, care and compassion will never be forgotten. Thank you to Reverend Rowena Payne and Vanessa Temple of Temples Funeral Home for your care and compassion.
Visitation will be held at the Knight’s of Columbus, King’s Cove on Tuesday, August 13th from 7:00- 9:00pm, and Wednesday, August 14th from 2:00- 4:00pm and 7:00- 9:00pm
Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, August 15th at 2:00pm at the Roman Catholic Church, King’s Cove with interment to follow.
